Good World Animal Rescue and Protection (“GWARP”) is a US registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on a mission to save abandoned and abused animals throughout the Republic of Azerbaijan. The shelter serves as a sanctuary to dogfighting survivors, paralyzed, disfigured, blind, and abuse victims. Sadly, some dogs will never make it out of the shelter, but most are able to fly abroad for adoption.
GWARP’s mission is as follows:
Maintain a no-kill shelter for unwanted animals until a time that they may be adopted to qualified homes;
Provide long-term care for those animals not appropriate for adoption;
Provide foster homes for those animals unable to live in a shelter;
Provide necessary veterinary care;
Improve the temperament of those animals who are ill-tempered by training programs;
Aid in the rescue and rehabilitation of abused and abandoned animals;
Place rescued and homeless animals into permanent adoptive homes, mainly in the US and Canada;
Prevent cruelties of any form to any and all animals and aid in the prosecution of such cruelties;
Provide spay/neuter services to strays and to the pets of low-income individuals ;
Advocate for animal welfare in the community; and
Improve the lives of animals throughout Azerbaijan
